It is getting nearer to the final VIEW exhibition at the Victoria Hall in Oakham, where all of the artists who have joined Stuart Ball and Ken Forrest over the years will be represented.
It would be lovely to see some of you guys there :)
There should be two very recent paintings by myself - very pleased with both of them if I may say so myself :)
All the best,

Just to mention that a few new images have been added to the Gallery. This has been long overdue - however for the latest updates please visit my facebook page on www.facebook.com/clintoncrosonartist
Also, a small update to the recently overpainted canvas. This is coming on much better. It is forming itself into a painting I feel I can truly be proud of:

It is no surprise that sometimes, when creating something, it lacks that vital spark that differentiates great paintings from good paintings.
I do not tend to do this often. Who knows, perhaps my intentional painting may have ended up good after a few layers of tightening up details.
In the end, I made a simpler decision:
If I was on twitter I would have hastagged this #noregrets - alas I am not :)

Happy New Year all, fellow art lovers! Looking
forward to an interesting 2015. Having spoken to some friends in Herts
it seems that Rutland has been very lucky with snow over the festive
season, especially the first morning after the great snowfall
was truly beautiful. However, after a week of melting and re-freezing, I
am kind of glad the white stuff is gone, normally routine resumes, and
it is time to crack on with some paintings!
On another note, the finished sketch for the Elephant. I have to say I am incredibly pleased how this turned out - it felt really good getting my fingers dirty with charcoal and pencil again haha!

There have been a few more updates in world of Clinton Croson on my facebook page on www.facebook.com/clintoncrosonartist
just incase you are wondering.
At the moment I am working on my first African animal commission for a while and I cannot honestly remember the last time I (if ever) tried to paint/sketch an elephant. Probably about 11 years ago, in Oils, when entered a piece into the City Gallery in Leicester, although that was far more surreal than anything else.
Anyway, just the beginning of the sketch, but enjoy the below image and also if you click onto the facebook link please do not forget to 'like.'

I was asked to write a piece for my employer's blog and I decided that it should concern the inspiration that goes into the creation of an artwork:http://landsenduk.typepad.com/onboard/2014/09/inspiration.html
Feel free to have a look :)

Firstly, I will upload some of those finished khaki canvas images below.
It was actually a lot more difficult than I had at first envisioned trying to get all three lined up together to create a feeling of unity between them, however the recipient is extremely pleased with the final result - in future I may try more triptychs.
Also, after purchasing a fine new 18-135mm STM lens for my Canon 100D I will try to get a little more into video editing, perhaps creating an artist video for my main website and facebook page, so fingers crossed it works out well. Someone has recommended I try the editing part via Lightworks, so we will see :)
And finally, something I have overlooked since my latest website iteration; on my 'Contact' page you should now also be able to find an image of myself next to the Artist Bio.
All the best,
